Obsession with sanskrit as "scientific language" destroying research in to indian language AI

basically one batch sees sanskrit as their caste language. They also dominate academia and funding and have freinds with rss.

So they throw  all this funding in to hyping a dead  language which  think is the language of their ancestors.

meanwhile real research suffers.

Lavadalo Sanskrit  it's a distraction or a meme 

The real reason is lack of allocation of funding , how much money do IIT PHD scholars get allowance on computer science ? Not even 1/100 th of a western counterpart 

Indian polticians would rather spend that money on freebies or govt employees or real estate scams

India is a country that doesn't need AI in any sense except for security reasons. We create 100 jobs that 10 people can do, reverse of AI

IIT PhD scholars gets paid decently (approx $450 + Rental allowance). In vomerican universities you get paid between $1500-$2000. Rent will chewup major chunk.

What funding is there in china - it is now beleived to be number 2  if not number 1 in AI.

did you read the article ? i am from iit. we have lenghtly whatsapp discos where these tambrahm students keep on hyping sanskirt  as solution to this or that. They all are well connected with professorts in these places.

It isnt relevant yendhira thalakai leni posts. this thread is to discuss its role. there is a lengthy article in this thread - i shared my personal anecdotes of very well connected people.

I understand you are gutless  to comment on this and does not align with your agenda but dont bring up unrelated funding discos. Put a seperate thread for it. And i know your funding arguments will also be bogus. You will ask for 120k usd package to write a java program in india because thats what is paid to american.
