democracy is invention of the west used for legally controlling dissent. It completely omits meritocracy.  Super powers only use a variant of democracies.

Democracy in capitalistic economy is oligarchical democracy, people are elected based on profit.

In communism, it's authoritative democracy, people are elected on authority. 

India uses democracy in purest form which means it can never decide what path to take. Nehru said socialistic democracy, but in reality that's indecisive democracy in finest.
