consider Denver. Pay scale is comparable to CA, taxes are low and winter here is a piece of cake compared to Chicago

look into FL insurance situation. it's getting really bad

You might want to see non desi neighborhoods like piedmont, lafayette, orinda, pleasant hill, walnut creek…

I know many of my frendz who regret their decision since they moved last yr and many want to move back

guys i got a 4500 sq ft house in frisco. its my dream to build a house with my choice since childhood and bought it for $850k this is not my first house so i have very good knwledge on house and things related to this so as an elder brother i suggest dont go for a big house unless you are below 35 or max 40 with not much kid dependency. if you got elder kids they might help you managing the house here and there but if you got small kids and you are of age 40 its very hard to maintain such a big house. also coming to financials frisco area is becoming very expensive day by day, builders are leaching on our indian population and increasing prices left and right and increasing prop taxes and interest rates are putting a dent on us. be wise and buy something in your budget and dont go for bigger house to show off. first timers start with a small house build equity and upgrade. there will be lot of opportunities down the lane and dont fall for FOMO mind set.

not sure on lathrop but schools are bad in martinez and not that great in brentwood either. good for a investment property but not good neighbourhoods to raise and send kids to schools

People who have no kids or toddlers who have no school dependancy are moving to those areas due to remote work
