Visa Stamping Question

Recommended Posts

I have Visa stamping until 2025 with current company. I am resigning for my company and will start H1-B transfer process for new company in 3 weeks.

1. Do I need to go for stamping again since I will be transferring my H1-B to new company?

2. Can I travel while H1-B transfer is in progress?

TIA.

1. Not needed. You can use same stamp with a valid status.

2. You can travel once your extension has been filed with your new employer. If it’s approved while you’re traveling, make sure to get your new i797 and show the new one at Poe to get i94 date same as your new PED if you’re coming back to join the new employer.

1. No

2. Don't recommend travel while H1B transfer is in progress. Attorneys kuda adey cheptaaru..Even if H1B gets approved you will not have i94 attached. So better to travel after it is approved or apply for transfer after your travel
