Why do Indian Americans (citizens from the last decade or two or GC holders) look down upon new Indian immigrants?

This is a classic case of “internalized racism". Many Indians will proudly crow about the accomplishments of Indian American immigrants such as Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella, etc as a showing of national pride, while also believing that most Indians are not innovative and are only good at competing in zero-sum games, themselves included. And a person who suspects that their own success is only success in a zero-sum game is the most likely to hate it when other people like themselves come and try to follow the same path
