The SC reiterated that partition of ancestral properties that took place before December 20, 2004, would remain unaffected by the 2005 amendment. So if property partition already occurred before this cutoff date, daughters will not have rights in ancestral properties. Ancestral properties cannot be Will'ed. Quote
