Duty free allowance is 2 litre/ticket. I buy it in Hyd duty free after landing, otherwise US or Doha/Dubai ninchi aiyte carry cheyalsi vastundi. Prices are similar, koncham itu atu untayi. Also, foreign ninchi vastunaru ani ppl ask kani Tonique[https://tonique.in/] ane store lo everything is available in Hyd.

I was surprised that your dad's friends compared Blue lable to ladies drink. Baaga naatu alavatu emo. Variety gaa Vodka (GreyGoose/Belvedere) or Tequila teesukelle. 

Kick kavalante konchem cheap saruku teesukellu... US special ani...Mamuluga ekkadu..

I usually check in Liquor. Liquor QTY is restricted by the Indian customs. 2Litres per person is limit. I take 3-4 Litres never had issues. Costco/Total Wine - cheapest prices. Cheaper than airport duty free.
