[URGENT]H4 EAD Approved on July 10th 2023. Card Not Received. Employer wants me to start on July 17th

Hi friends,

H4 EAD was approved on July 10th 2023 and still waiting for the physical card. 

Full-time employer asking to start on July 17th. They did not ask for H4 EAD card for onboarding. Only mentioned about SSN. 

 

Do we need H4 EAD physical card for I-9 process? If so, should I ask the employer to postpone the start date? Please let me know.
