To join the only 3 and make it only 4. Science and space community to value peruguthundhi....   Also we are doing it at meagre cost compared to other nations. This increases credibility in other nations who will choose ISRO to launch their satellites. Last but not least... we will be one of the only few that has data in depth when compared to rest of the world. Information is wealth.

correct, Moon is mired with mysteries, once india finds them during these missions, it joins the club of these nations and hence be allowed to have collaboration in other areas

West respects india and willing to share tech only when we cross a particular threshold. Moon/Mars/Manned Space missions also come with various technologies that can be used for common people.

for example, India uses the learning from lightweight composite tech in developing prosthetic limbs for people at cheaper costs. it was vision of APJ Kalam

Launch success 50% happy.. But main goal is the Landing( Which is after 1 month approx). That is when all hearts will be pounding harder. That  is where last mission got failed.
