What most Indians forget is that Indian skin tone is high maintenance. We easily get tanned. Since most of us roam in the red hot Sun without Sunscreen or even cover our bodies, we tend to have uneven tanning. Mostly skin burns. By the time we're 18, our faces r F ed up. I still see almost everyone in India go out in the Sun without any concern for skin or body. Compared to India, many places in the US have worst Sun & heat! For some reason, even desi parents don't put sunscreen neither on themselves nor their kids. That's what happened to this girl. She probably woke up one day & found out she's not as beautiful as she thought she was! 

It might not make sense but Sun is not for ethnic skin. You can get all the Vitamin D from Sunrise till 8 in the morning. Stay indoors after that. Carry an Umbrella or cover body which is exposed to Sun especially your face , hands & feet!
