that issue is happening since decades , meitis asking for ST status in jobs ,education that way they can buy land and settle in 90% hilly area of manipur , manipur has 90% hilly area only 10 % is plain , so congress brought "permits" which allow only ST's can buy land on hills , so meitis are sufferers here.bcoz the place where they live became conjusted there and they can't settle in hills.. but what they are doing is no good , its disturbing  but what it has to do with present govt??

Supreme court also said its constitutional to implement ST status to meitis .....the govt started doing it in state and riots started .................

There could also be foreign influence. Elections r not far away. You might see some more "Shaheenbagh" like protests in the country.

If any party is capable of that level of election engineering, that would have already been in power. 

you talk like these tribes have uniformity in opinions, ideology etc., They don't. Not just them, there's no such broad consensus anywhere in any caste/religion. But only temporary coalitions.

BJP is in power in both center and state.. why are they unable to control the situation? Vere party power lo unte, they would have implemented president rule.. BJP is not even able to make its chief minister resign..

I am not projecting anything but opposition is raising not for tribals in manipur but also to get votes in other states too
