New York long weekend trip

Two 5 year old kids  tho trip suggestible ? 

 

Do you have to take hotel in New York with parking paid in manhatten area itself and take local subway  to see around with little kids, ?

Or somewhere in New Jersey and commute in train from there..?

 

Obviously driving around in car locally is not an option..never been out there with family in such busy cities with walking involved..any suggestions appreciated..main focus ..

 

Day 1 . world trade center (advanced booking ticket Kavali anukunta).. some building where everything is transparent..don't know it's name ..summit one Vanderbilt (advanced tickets kavali anukunta).

Day 2. Madame Tussauds and times square + liberty actual island  ...

Day 3 .. central park and some othe left over attractions before checking out for the day..
