I'm facing similar situation with couple of subordinates. They are coming up with all bull crap stories. It wont fly anymore.

We have 3+2 policy. Employees must be onsite for 3 days/week. I agree with you on Friday part. There should be some room for negotiation as long as the productivity is not impacted.

I think of two options.

1. Resign job and find a new one.

2. Go to office like your manager said.
