For a 2 kid family

a)Mortgage/tax/insurance costs for 1.5 mill house already works out to 11k

b)Two car loan plus insurance plus fuel - $3k (I assumed total loan of 140k  for 5 years- one GLE and other x5)

c)Utlities - 1500 (gas/elect/phonebill/internetbill/trash/fire/sewage gatra - its a largehouse)

d)Kids non-school tuition for swim lessons/soccer/tennis/yoga etc - $2k

e)Groceries plus eating out - 2k

f)White goood purchases such as decoration items, media and electronic items, media room items, basement items, whitegoods gifts - $3k (total 36k per year)

g) 2 vacations -total cost 24k - so 2k per month

h) incidentals - 1k

i)Home improvement costs - 1k

Total around 27k

Earnings needed - 324k Plus another 100k taxes = 424k, plus another 50k savings = 474k

So a two income family each making 250k and who have saved up enough for house deposit, closing costs, move in furniture can enjoy their dallas dream with these incomes.

Inko sunna add cheyyalsindhi prati item ki .
This is top 1% Dallas desis budget .

typical desi family avg family earning is less than $150k in Dallas .

Yendhi mana forum reaction itta unnai.

I thought this is a rich forum - adhi kooda trolling ena.

Every number i gave is reasonable and goes along with buying a 1.5 million house - which is not unususal among desis.

You cant stay in a house like that and drive a camry/accord. GLE and X5 are standard upper middle class cars now.

when all nieghboring kids are taking swim lesson and tennis lessons(costly) you cant keep your kid at home.

Once again forum proved to be troll forum (majority of reactions are ofcourse from jaffas who NEVER have any cdredibility)

Infact many of the costs i gave are at lower end. Tennis coaching easily goes to 750 per kid per month. Soccer 240 or so and then siwmming, these days dance and gym. but i rounded at 1k per kid.

Same with cars - if you go by current interest - car payment alone comes at 3k plus. Not including fuel, insurance etc. But i rounded off at 3k.

Thats the basic assumption of my post. 1.5 million house in dallas is not uncommon really - i saw plenty of desis there. They sell an existing house with some 200k profit - put in another 100k savings and make the 20% down payment. antha rare emi kaadhu.

My post is really meant for upper middle class people in dallas for whom 1.5 mill mortgage is within reach. Thats why i called it "dallas dream".

Bascially i gave you guys insights in to expenses of people living that lifestyle.
