Not really…even before Satyam started IT business, their family was well into real estate and something they did not stop even when Satyam was at its peak. Sons vachi edo chesdam anukune kante mundu ae Satyam was in deep trouble just that it was not blown..Obsession on land was the main reason for Satyam’s diversion of money.

Agree with what you said. But I have a soft corner for him. He was a visionary, who gave IT life to a lot of telugus, built such a large IT empire and in the end fell victim to his son's deeds. Nice guy.

That is not true, he was cooking books for 10+ years , when pressure mounted he illegally setup companies to rotate money to create false invoices, papamu pandi  pedda hole padindi, he hoped to recover from metro and other real estate projects but didn’t go as per the plan, he showed Mytas as entity and wanted to raise money  or dilute shares in satyam stock to invest in Mytas. Investors ki pichi Dgingidi, okka IT firm real estate firm tho deal endi ani and that basically unraveled everything upon audits and the stock was shorted which lost all of its value in no time

Agree with the investment part. I also agree what he did was not right. But, he was one of those guys who put us on the national level. 

I lost money too investing in Satyam. I recovered when I bought low after its collapse and when they converted to Tech Mahindra.

What he did is plain fraud, he cooked books to show profits and in the process inflated the stock, later it became an habit for him and kept doing it for years and the hole got so big that company reserves were reported as some $2 billion but in reality had only $60-70 million, to cover that he made many mistakes. he confessed of cooking books by 7000 crores during that time and it is one of the biggest scandal in India.

Nenu vinna/read chesina story ayithe he did all that to cover the mistakes his son did in real estate. However i agree on the part, its a fraud esp when dealing with people's money.

No his son was a scape goat in the whole process. His son is married to a rich girl though (Ramco cements and Ramco systems),
