An overweight British Airways passenger has been hoisted out of their first class seat after getting stuck for three hours on a plane at Heathrow.

The man realised he could not get up after his 6.5-hour flight which landed just before 5am on Saturday and the crew members on the British Airways flight couldn't help him either, the Sun reports. 

Emergency services were called, who took the door out and finally freed the passenger using a hoist.
