Diversifying is always good. I bought gold long back. Some of it we turned into jewellery (perks of marriage/kids) and some we kept. 

Gold and silver will have a dream run soon. But now, I prefer to buy funds than actual gold or silver. I worked for 15 yrs for same company. I got 5, 10, 15 silver coins after completing 5, 10, 15 yrs service.

@SaradaChinnodu Buy PDI, GOF at current prices or if they drop a little. You will remember me 5 yrs, 10 yrs down the lane. They also give close to 13-15% div monthly. They become ex-div before 9-10 every  month, so buy before that to not miss div.
