I don't completely agree with JP here ,metro will help fuel urbanisation in Hyderabad 

Urbanization is a productive and growing activity unlike agriculture which is unproductive and stagnant 

A few tweaks to the routes to better serve the populated areas not ORR is enough .to make it sucessful

I am also in favor of metro Kani mari aa outer metro route avasaramu ledu emo. Adi just connecting remote locations together. Not sure antha investment workout avuthnda aa route lo ani

1992 inner ring road started and fully operation in 2005, Orr started in 2004 and fully operational in 2018, Orr when start chesinappudu 7k crores project, ippudu kattali ante 1 lakh cores kavali and more than cost it is the growth engine of Hyderabad and traffic decongestion ki saving grace. Reality estate is one of the big drivers of state economy and ORR might have fetched 1-2 lakh crores to the government exchequer just in the form on registration taxes so far, just 30 years lease ki 8k crores ichindru ippudu . When these projects started JP lanti medavulu enduku dabbulu waste andaru ippudu ORR pakkana villalu konukoni settle avutunanru

ippudu veellu metro ante approvals vachi and funding secure chesukoniki okka 5 years, kattaniki inko 5-10 years, you are looking 10-15 years from now, 10-15 years a new Hyderabad will be built around Hyderabad. 

cost wise ORR metro is cheap as per the estimate, it is being built at AT grade(road elevation) and no land acquisition required, for 160 kms it estimated to cost 20k crores. Think how much real estate equity in the form of taxes  it is going to bring in for the government, it will definitely see a massive ROI, other advantage will include reduce pressure on the core city infrastructure as city spreads, growth in dispersion rather concentrating everything in one part of the city.

Welfare schemes dabbulu ekkadi nundi vastyi mari, it is a chicken and egg problem. That is what separating South from the North, south has more welfare schemes but have enabling economies to support those schemes.

Freebies are the worst. Be it India , USA stimulus and ppe loans

Love it or hate it India is a poor nation, there are many underprivileged and they are born in to that and the only way they can be brought out is with some backing from the government, , government balance create cheyakapote law and order issues vastayi(like we had in 70-90’s naxalaism) and they will drag everyone with them, since I saw it first hand I know how regressive it was, fast forward now no one has time for that
