Question abt indian passport

Can we live in usa with expired indian passport after GC ..I am asking in the context of indian passport expiring let's say 2024 March and eligible for USA citizen ship in 2025 Jan we can let the indian passport expire and just take american citizenship in 2025 Jan just don't want to take hassle of dealing with indian embassy on passport renewal etc..with 8 months away from eligibility for usa passport.

 

Probably I cant travel out of country I u derstand that risk during those months I get that part.
