Way meaningless comparison. The Nizams (Monarch) times and current Indian (Democratic) times are poles apart.

Many bad things happened under Nizam's (in fact you should read that as Monarchs rule because no monarch is different from others in the world) especially towards the end of the Dynasty rule, owing to Razakars mutiny etc. And religious conversions that happened all through the centuries.

But also many good things happened. If you go to KaziPet Railway Station and see its history, you will understand how well Nizams co-operated and worked adapting to British Technologies (that time) and brought to the masses.

The same time, Hindu-dominated and Hindu-Kings ruled Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, North Maharastra for centuries remained way backward without any advancements in life stats.
