a very close friend of mine is in deeep hole financially.

credit, 401k, personal loans, friends... all options exhausted.

I heard US lo private loan istaaru loan sharks with high interest rate ani. any info on that...

Why do you need a new loan for a higher interest rate when you are already in high debt? Malli gambling try chesi jackpot kodthava??

private loan sharks are very dangerous kada. Credit card companies tho pennys on the dollar kadatha ani matladukomanu. Like 20 o 30% or collections ki vellinanthavaraku wait chesi ade cheyamanu.

don’t get involved.. some people will take you down when they go down.. you can provide him moral support and any other support like basic necessities etc.. but don’t try to take loans for him..

On contrary, not helping him getting a loan is the best help you can do to him

Your friend might think that you are not being a good friend. But that's OK. Don't spoil your life getting into his mess. Help him emotionally or pay for a meal or two when in need. Don't help him financially. 

Never ever trust an addict or a gambler. esp the stories they tell.
