I know of at least 6 families who moved out of Seattle and bought two houses in Texas, mostly in Austin. Some of my senior engineering colleagues who have been working at Amazon for a long time sold homes in Seattle, Bellevue, Redmond, and Sammamish. They bought 3 houses, 2 in Austin and 1 in Charlotte, and some bought 2 in Austin and 1 in the Dallas suburbs. Similarly, friends at Google and Facebook also bought two homes. Two of my Facebook friends even bought ranches and land. My relative, who is my sister and works for Google, bought land in Fullerton, California. People from Texas are buying properties from this website: https://www.landwatch.com/california-land-for-sale/farms-ranches. My previous employer (consulting) owns 10 homes, with 4 in Sacramento, 4 in Austin, and 2 in Phoenix. Whenever I attend Desi parties, like kids' birthdays, the same topic comes up—my friend bought 2 homes, and so on...

I also know my friends wife's torturing husbands who dont have home and can not buy bcoz super high interest rates,  super high home prices... also know desi wifes who are torturing  saying this is small (even though 4 bed) saying we need  big home.. and also 2nd home like others...  but there wife's not understanding its really difficult to buy home with super high a) interest rates b)  super high home prices... home builders made billions out of these  crazy mania of buying homes. Home builders due to shortage of   home building  labour skills. they also imported from mexico alot..... Home builders have their  groups..( like syndicate we call in india) and they increase inflate prices.. alot to make  money in short period.  Home builders literally made money left and right ..bcoz of home buying craziness...

By next year most companies will ask people to come back to office. I thought 5day work weeks will never return and Hybrid is the way to go. I was soo wrong.

Why baa? Move ayyina vallalo chaala mandhiki gc acchesi untundhi kadha ..why move back to seattle ..they can search jobs in Austin or Dallas only right?
