I took a hunting license to get around the clause for non-immigrants about possession of firearms. State laws about what? I went for hunter's education class, passed a written exam and field test. Then paid to get a hunter's license. With that I made a firearms purchase and filled out Form 4473 by ATF. Question 12 on this form is what made me go for a hunter's license. My intent is target shooting. I have friends in the airforce and the marines. They have really great guns. I try them as well.

regarding state laws ... some state laws only allow to keep magazine, bullets in separate safe from the gun ... what were ur state laws ...

when applying for gun license .. did they ask for medical history ? AFAIK some states don't allow to purchase firarms if the patient is on psychiatric medications ...

u said u got a smith n wesson 38 revolver ..? how many guns u own ..  how do you keep ur firearms .. is it in a safe .. where do u keep ur safe ... is in bedroom or garage ...

 

what were the questions asked by ATF regarding your h1 status .. did u hire a lawyer to defend your right to buy a fire arm .. or  DIY ..  ... as a h1, even though u can get a firearm license can you use for self defense ... ( as raised by @Gulebakavali anna) ...

next big question ... were there any questions during h1 renewal and or visa stamping after u acquired fire arm ... were they succesful ..?
