Wealthfront. Apple vodu might give 0.1% more but I like to avoid apple anything related to bank, credit card etc.

Best ones in the market 

 Fidelity Money Market (SPAXX) - 5%+ yield

 Robinhood Cash - Around 5% yield (Charges $5 per month)

 CIT Bank Premium Savings account - 5%+ yield.

All of them FDIC insured and you can withdraw money anytime u want. 

Some Credit unions and other ones mention 6-8% but do read their fine print. They give that on first $1000 or something like that.

I have all my money distributed in first 3. I also have some in discoverBank but its 4.5% yield

Why do you want to do CD if its 1 yr? It limits your ability to take out when needed and also interest rates are same. Max you get like 0.25% more. But if Fed increases rates again you lose more interest on savings acc.

Your money is locked for 3/6/9 months. While opening, they will ask if you want interest at end or every month. If you want early withdrawal, there will be a penalty.
