Tipping culture

I have absolutely hate the tipping culture.. I mean I would glad to tip someone if I like their service....delivery guy did his job on time..

But for carryout too !! Common..pay your employees high minimum wage and solve this

I know tip is main income for ppl in service sector but paying employee isn't part of business? Why don't business owner charge what they think is reasonable charge for the product and take care expenses rather passing on as hidden charge..

yes. these days square and other tab based checkout machines , even at self serve places force you to select a tip, which starts at 18% !!!!! you have to skip , while feeling guilty as the cashier is staring at you. 

this is a major issue across usa - they are using the guilt as weapon to get more money from customers.

I'm absolutely fine with giving tips for delivery or service guyz but its going overboard now a days.

In some places, there is a dollar amount rather than % like 20, 30 etc. I had haircut in Greatclips last week, cost is $19. Tip amounts shown on the checkout machines are $6, $8, $10.. I had to select 6 and proceed.

Starbucks lo aithey already drinks ki paying more than $5..malla dhaniki tip anta..too much kakapothey.

I love the tipping culture. It reminds people that they are being served like aristocrats, when they don't deserve to be.

cook for yourself or pay up. Its perfectly fine if people are guilt tripped to pay tips. expecting a level of service comes with a cost, even if the service doesn't match up to the level sometimes. Its part of the bargain.

recent ga Austin airport lo I was getting some coffee and the cashier flipped the tab for tip. It won’t accept 0 as a tip and I put in $0.01 to proceed

who tips for coffee in an airport

Depends on what restaurant I go . Desi aythey no tip since they are not allowed to keep tip .  Table pakkana oka $5 pedatha for cleaners . 
 

American aythey will tip according to service . I rarely go to American 

 

only thing that irritates me is tip expectations for fast food , coffee shops , pizza shops and donut shop .
