Yes locking for lower rates is like paying the small amount of money from their pockets … buying a house is like paying 5 percnet or 20 percnet which is huge with current  interest rate automatically the buyers will back out

This is the exact reason why home prices will never fall. Raised interest rates makes the affordability tough and thus put a hold on new constructions which makes the existing homes precious, and as the inventory becomes scarce, prices for those homes head northward only. Holding the homes is gold.
