do you know on average telangana government spends 89,000 rupees for each governemnt student goign to school. It is not about money, it is about implementation, developing a system that works..

ISRO is not heavily funded ..they where given funding of less than hollywood movie for which return of investment is too high.. which means every dollar spent is achieving 1.2 $ of return.. 

andhra government spends 1800 crores alone on nutrition development in angan wadi kids... it is not like we did budget cuts elsewhere..

the investment we are spending on students will not be seen until they start earning and paying taxes.. so should we cut the 89,000 rupees of funding to government school studetns ?

Agro sector budget chusinava okasari ? The kind of money we spend in agri is so high so that ISRO’s 12k allocation ni agri ki divert chesthe oka 1% improvement kuda vundadu. ISRO kante double budget tho States are implementing farm loan waivers…Kisan Sanman Nidhi spent more than 2 lakh crores already..now compare it with ISRO’s budget.

BANGALORE: Andhra Pradesh Government would like to take advantage of satellite technology available with ISRO for the benefit of common people, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said here today.

Naidu met ISRO Chairman K Radhakrishnan and a team of scientists from the space agency who called on him here.

The Chief Minister said space technology and IT should be utilised in areas like agriculture, availability of surface and groundwater, forests, among others, to benefit the common man, according to an official release issued after the meeting.

Naidu felt that ISRO scientists and the Science and Technology and Planning departments should interact to evolve ways to help the people, it said.

Just that the food should be of very high quality, should be responsibly sourced from farmers who should cultivate the crop using high quality seeds.

You can blame modi govt and say this about them. But not to ISRO who have been a crown jewel for India. 

Even if you are blaming Modi govt, say "you did good here, can we expect the same in seeds?". Messaging and the words used is important.

ISRO has commercial wing. They are making lot of money. It is investment for future.

How can a country achieve growth in one specific area without overall growth? If we go by your logic Telecom, IT, Automobile none of these contribute to improve food quality. But aren't these industries responsible for quality of improvement?

If india is not in satellite business, we might be still looking at sky to predict weather. 

Noone is denying that India is nowhere comparable to many developed countries in quality of life but that doesn't mean forever we remain as snake charmers.
