Dude, this is America - not India! Nothing is ever done and dusted just like that. There is accountability at every level and stage. Just look at Trump and Jan 6 and dozens of charges against him...

a PPP loan getting forgiven does not mean the "fraud" was forgiven (that's not even possible) - it means SBA forgave the company's inability to repay the loan (default for PPP loan due to pandemic, if it was spent correctly on payroll and utility bills) and forgiveness has nothing to do with fraud or its investigation. SBA can audit and investigate PPP loan fraud for up to 10 years from the date of forgiveness which means you can report it -
