I don't think producers make the money in these cases. They mostly sell to bigger studios that distribute it for a price.

Arjun Reddy producer may have made a lot of money with the Hindi version. but only a reasonable profit with the Telugu version. I'm just guessing ofcourse. lion's share goes to the big studios always.. never to the small producer. that's how the game is rigged.

Peopled owned up Sri Hari too but his genre was different and was a very late boomer.
