Kurnool jilla faction domination

Long ago, many faction rivalries in Kurnool jilla. Two main ones were “Kotla vs KE” and “Gangula vs Bhuma”. There were other ones involving Byreddy, Katasani, Kappatralla etc. Parties encouraged it for votes in the district. Thankfully, this faction himsa barely exists now. Kurnool is developing and progressing into better times.

Which faction dominated Kurnool jilla?

• ATP was Paritala domination vs JC and Suri factions.
• Kadapa was YS Raja Reddy domination vs so many; MV Ramana Reddy, Mysoora Reddy, Siva Reddy, Satish Reddy etc.

CK Babu  is not from faction background. 
 

In 80s and 90s, there were lot of atrocities by local Tamil rowdsheeters, harrasing women, dandha against market people for money. 
 

CK Babu was very young (from family of local Manegaru) , entered the picture, and decimated the rowdy batch. He became the hero of Chittoor town. He enjoyed the strong support of Market people. 
 

When NTR swept Chittoor in 1994 elections, he was the lone MLA from non TDP. He won as an independent since he didn’t get ticket from Congress.

Later he slowly lost the support of people with few wrong steps.

I heard CK Babu was some rowdy of Chittoor. Don’t know the extent of his power throughout jilla. Chittoor jilla had strong power players like Peddireddy, Nallari family, and Sandranna.

His presence was limited to Chittoor. Some influence in neighbor 2-3 constituencies. He was a hero for close to two decades and lost track later. Mainly because of YSR’s demise since CK Babu is strong opponent of Peddireddy. He escaped the planned bomb attack by Adikesavulu Naidu.  
 

Kiran & Peddireddy were rivals. Kiran’s father Nallari Anarnatha Reddy was a tall leader in Congress. 

Now,  Peddireddy has strong grip over the district escape few constituencies like Chandragiri and Tirupati. Roja will lose this time courtesy of Peddireddy. Rest of the constituencies will be given tickets based on his advice. 

CBN never won majority seats in Chittoor.

Why Peddireddy rival with CK Babu and Nallari? Rumour that he was sandalwood mafia chakravarthy.

Now his son is also minister and his brother is MLA.
