FT 170K / 2000 = $85 an hour (with benefits)

For contract, add another $15 + $85 = $100 an hour

95 per hours for 2000 work hours is 190,000. so 20K more than FT ,leaves  oka 15 istharu anukundam which is high for first year and insurance oka 6000 company add chesthundi typically.

leaves = $ 11500

insurance = $6000

so breakeven anukovacchu FT170k vs coolie 190k (95per hour)

OP said no benefits, so no 401k match or bonus or RSU etc...

Mana valu andaro vacation/PTO marchi potaru. 4 weeks vacation ante akkade contracting lo dabbulu poinattu. Of course mana valu ekkada ellina laptop okati esukuni fake work chestu untaru but FT lo darja ga off petti no need to turn laptop on. That is a big benefit when you go for tourism.

Employer contributes 14k just for insurance annually ?

my last few companies contributed like $500 on avg for my insurance . And I would contribute like $600 or $700 from my side .

not sure if you take ultra platinum insurance oka  where employer contributes more .
