Chennai: Before 1947 and after Independence as well, these Seema beggars had a big foot print on TN up to Chennai. The local culture was too strong, that resulted in the complete absorption of any foreign culture into them. So beggars did not grow there.

Bangalore: During 2000s all Whitefield lands are shared between Paritala and Yesu Reddy families. As City grew, local Kannadigas did not allow these faction groups to have the hold for long.

Hyderabad: You must be knowing what happened since Sept,2009.

I thought Seema fellows still dominate Bangalore. Don’t they own good chunk of prime Bangalore real estate. Kahan has some palace in Yelahanka.

Yes they do but limited to some pockets of Bangalore like Koramangla, Marathahalli, Munnekolala etc. But not the prime markets of Bangalore.

On the other hand, they are given BC Status, so in the larger context, they are treated with low-cassette image.

BCs are not badly treated in Karnataka. Karnataka doesn't have a caste gajji problem like Seemandhra does.

How exactly did Kannadas neutralize the faction batch? They were not thrown out from Karnataka like in 1950s TN or 2010s Telangana.

There are many angles to this:

1. First and fore most reason: WEALTH created by IT in Bangalore... people turned business-oriented rather than living typical faction based revenge mode life. So all those faction based ill-thinking turned to business greed. Almost every one is busy in Bangalore. So instead of 'Kannadigas need to neutralise faction bactch', its actually "Seema factionists integrated themselves well into rich society"

2. If not for cassette problems, Kannadigas have their own problems. Identity Crisis. Their hate towards Mallus and Tamilians means Telugus always got fair deal in day-to-day life as well as wider societal issues. Kannadigas have developed soft-corner on Telugus as they have cultural similarities and also Telugus are not really dangerous to any society they migrate to.

Seema faction batch have a violence problem. If they don't get what they want, they resort to rioting and hatya. Feudal domination mentality ekkuva among them. Its not enough that I got what I wanted. My whole group/faction must get what they want, even if not feasible. Insane loyalty among members of the group.

Did they stop behaving like feudals in Karnataka? Or did Kannada law enforcement and locals fought back against their violent need to dominate over others.

Karnataka right now has a huge corruption problem. Most corrupt South Indian state even with Zaganna or Sandranna competition.

Maybe Kannadas have a bit of identity crisis. To their credit, Karnataka is a multicultural, multilingual, secular society that Nehru envisioned India to be. Telugu, Tamil, Malayali, Marathi, and North Indians of all faiths have been MLAs in Karnataka. No chance today that some different state-origin person could get election ticket here due to janalu caste equations.
