Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday said that there is a "full-scale assault" on the democratic institutions of India.
Addressing a media briefing at Brussels Press Club, Gandhi said. "There is an increase in discrimination and violence in India and there is a full-scale assault on the democratic institutions of our country, that everybody knows."

He also took a dig at the government for not inviting opposition leaders to the G20 and said it shows that the current leadership doesn't value the leaders of 60 per cent of India's population.

"Opposition leaders not being invited to the G20 tells you that the current leadership doesn't value the leaders of 60% of India's population. People should think about the type of thinking that goes behind that thought," he said.
