agreed… but it mostly works when kids go to middle or high school where they are pretty much on their own… my kid is in elementary school and he is a little slow too..

In my experience I have seen every kids pick up stuff in diff age. I would never call my kid slow. But she is as good as kids 1 yr younger to her age. As she is October born, she missed a yr and is the oldest kid in class. Perfect for us.

While teaching, I have realized, she suddenly gets it. Like flipping a switch. Kids also learn fast from other kids. So as kids gets older encourage them to have study together.

When I say slow, he is not really slow.. he takes some time to grasp concepts and he needs some handholding too.. problem is that he has to work extra hard to understand few things many of his friends grasp instantly.. that’s okay.. he is not in a competition… I just want to provide him that extra support he needs..

Haha. I did not mean that way when I said "I would never call my kid slow". It wasn't a reference to your stmt. 

I just said it in my kids reference. Now that I read my message again, it appears like I took a shot at you. I did not

He hee.. ledu bro.. I didn’t mean that either.. I know some kids with special needs.. poor kids, they are really slow and struggle with basic things.. the problem with getting behind is that it is a slippery slope.. once they get behind and don’t understand the basics, they totally tune out and lose interest in the subject..
