Brindaavanam Box office report

Brindavanam  – Krishna (Jr.NTR) is a city bred boy. His girl friend Indu (Samantha) asks him for a strange help. Indu’s friend Bhoomi (Kajal) is being forcefully married to her relative. For some reason she cannot tell her dad (Prakash Raj) that she doesn’t want to marry that guy. Bhoomi, guided by her grandpa, wants to take ‘some guy’ act as her boyfriend, so that she can break away the marriage proposal.

Krishna goes to Bhoomi’s village, solves their family problems and wins everyone’s hearts including Bhoomi’s dad. He even unites Prakash Raj with his warring brother Srihari. The dad wants both Bhoomi and Krishna to get engaged. In the mean time Srihari’s niece arrives to the village. Srihari wants her to get engaged to her boyfriend on the same day that Bhoomi and Krishna get engaged. Problem is the niece is none other than Indu, Krishna’s actual girl friend. What happens next forms the rest of the story.

[b]No.1 position at the box office..[/b]

Jr.NTR gives a splendid performance as a lover boy, a far cry from his mass entertainer. He is just adorable. Samantha looks hot completely different from her previous film ‘Ye Maya Chesaave’. Brahmanandam and Venu Madhav leave audiences in splits, as the comedy is interlaced with the script nicely. The film has all the elements require to woo the audiences. Chota K. Naidu comes up with decent cinematography and Thaman comes up with terrific background score and audio too.

There is nothing new in the ‘Brindaavanam’. The content is old fashioned and reference to previous films is inevitable. The biggest problem is that the major story is covered in the 1st half and the second half has only good comedy to offer. Jr.NTR’s fans might be touch disappointed as he underperforms for the first time, in this film with a soft title.
