I never worked for federal or govt. I do know ppl who work for them and the process involved. That's how I answered your questions.

I am working for Lifesciences company for past 15 yrs. My director is aware of me going to India and there are some meetings which I have to attend (2 whole day meetings). Working only for a week and half. Rest is PTO.

Yeh. Whole day meetings and my participation is needed. Using noice cancellation airpods. So its OK. Cant take PTO for these days.

No. We don't have an issue working from India. we have built in VPN in office laptops if I need to connect to any Internal systems. Most of our apps are SaaS and on SSO.

Anyways I am mostly on PTO. Working only for few days
