He allows his kids to question everything and gives them the tools to learn from their environment. but he's also a dictator in a sense. He doesn't realize that his kids worship him and won't actually challenge him. He's running a mini govt with his children in the forest as the general. Finally he lets go. joins the civilization after realizing that he's a piece of trash for the way he's been treating his children. Quote
