Hindu temple priests that are under govt (endowments department) are paid salaries… govt takes all the income from the temples, manage the temple lands/properties and spends it on temple works and priest salaries.. 

but none of the churches and mosques are under govt control.. govt has no control over the properties as well.. there is no formal education to become a pastor also…
