"Rivian vehicles sell for over $80,000 on average. Yet they’re so expensive to build that in the second quarter the company lost $33,000 on every one it sold.”

Doing new things is hard. Many of us want new technologies to mature. And for American enterprises like this to win.

But we're all learning the "energy transition" is not an overnight process. It's decades-long, with wins, losses, and speedbumps along the way.

No other vehicles they fix the chasis by using special equipment called pullers or frame straightening reels, for evs the moment chasis is bent it probably have screwed up the battery pack

yes, for conventional vehicles the frame can be pulled/straightened but the costs outweigh other factors. This is only for damage, if it's bent it's an automatic write off

Also, most body shops will be hesitant to work on such cases in fear of weakened structural integrity

Reflecting on this discussion from a year ago, it's fascinating to see how the electric vehicle industry has evolved. Companies like Rivian faced challenges, but they've also made significant strides. The energy transition remains a long-term journey with its ups and downs, but it's heartening to witness the progress. If you've stayed engaged with the automotive world, especially trucks, you might have come across this trucks part shop. It's a great resource for staying updated on truck-related matters. Here's to hoping that electric vehicles have continued to advance, making them more accessible and sustainable for the future.

Most EV companies are not profitable and bleeding like anything. Lucid has similar numbers on each car similar to Rivian. Its reflected in their share prices
