In almost every country financial markets go into a lull right before elections and recover after the results are announced irrespective of who comes to power 

Indian real estate also performs the same , there will be a slump before elections and once the government is formed there will be uptick in prices 

Honestly this might be a decent time to get some deals but most people would rather hold than sell at this dull period
