One of the most popular heroines of the South, Namitha, luckily escaped from a kidnap attempt on this morning. Namitha was actually on her way to Karur to attend a function before this incident took place.

Namitha reached Tiruchy airport from where she is expected to take a car sent by the function organizers to reach Karur. She was fooled by a person who claimed that he was supposed to take her to Karur and got into his car. He sped away immediately after Namitha stepped into the car.

This was seen by the actual driver who was supposed to take her to the destination and he with the help of few others chased the kidnapper’s car and did manage to overtake it. In a filmy way, Namitha was saved and the kidnapper was handed over to cops.



The kidnapper namely Periasamy said that he was an ardent fan of Namitha and he only did this to spend some time with his favorite star.
