Surprise, how could heroines like namitha known more for her oomph factor go out without bodyguards or followers. Sad news for Nammi fans, as she might have been kidnapped by a local taxi driver named Periasamy. namitha alighted from aero plane at Tiruchirapalli airport and a person by the name Periasamy tried to kidnap her while namitha had to reach Karur.

Periasamy lied to namitha saying that he is a taxi driver and was sent to pick her. Poor Nammi believed her and sat inside the car. When the real cab driver arrived at the scene, namitha was already seen boarding the other car which made him immediately call the local police for help.

Then a chase scene followed to save namitha in real life and this fake taxi driver Periasamy was arrested by police. Periasamy was a hard core fan of this voluptuous beauty and wanted to kidnap her for fun with Nammi.

Hmm…there is also news that namitha could have done this for publicity in order to gain his loosing recognition.
