Even in our Hindu epics, there's a whole lot of talk about superficial things but the places mentioned in the scriptures exist even today which has lot of religious importance....same way Adam & Eve is a superficial concept written by the natives of the land but the places mentioned in the Torah exist even today because they lived there.
