High Court comes to Chiru's rescue

The hopes of Praja Rajyam party president Chiranjeevi to get a common symbol for all his party candidates in the elections have come alive once again on Friday, with the State High Court suggesting to the Election Commission to reconsider his appeal.

The High Court apparently agreed with Chiranjeevi's claim that his party has gained a lot of support from the people, as is evident from his party's membership drive and also huge turnout to his public meetings. Therefore, it suggested to the ECI to reconsider its decision not to grant a common symbol for PRP candidates.

However, what HC has given is only a suggestion. It is not an order. Yet, the EC may consider it. We have to wait and see whether Chiru will get rail engine or something else!
