ForEverJava Posted October 19, 2023 Author Report Posted October 19, 2023 Last 2 years I have been participating in frisco frosty 5k run its usually very chilly on December 4th but when u run with few hundred/thousand ppl that motivation is different..in 2021 I think crowd was in 100s may 700 yo 800 ppl and 2022 it was definitely 2000 plus ppl ..it reminded me of morning commute of walking from chicago downtown union station to michigan ave from working days at bcbsa every morning on cold chilly chicago mroning..I think this year frisco frosty 5k will be even more crowded as every year dallas crowd keep increasing last two 5k runs 36 and 35 mins hoping I can improve on that timing ..that's why doing 2 more 5k runs in between before that major event visiting South padre Isla d November thanks giving week hopefully ocean gives me more motivation to run on beach and watch nice sunrise and sets along with walks Quote

Scan your feet , do some tests and suggest some good fitting shoes one such is “fleetfeet” .. check if they have stores near your place 1 Quote

AvramFaind Posted July 10, 2024 Report Posted July 10, 2024 Running with a big crowd can definitely amp up the motivation, especially on those chilly mornings. It's cool how the event keeps growing every year—must be exciting to see more and more people joining in. Running on the beach at South Padre Island sounds like a dream, especially with those beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Enjoy every moment of it! If you're looking to improve your timing for the upcoming races, have you considered working with a private running coach? They could tailor a training plan specifically to help you reach your goals. It might be worth exploring, especially given your dedication to these runs. Quote
