People from north got bowled over by his acting in Pushpa. I did not think its a great movie but evariki em nachutundo teleedu ... aa Karan Johar, Rohit shetty, Ranbir Kapoor and other Bollywood Cringe movies chusi idi kalakhandam la anipinchi undachu ..

it could be becoz of n number of reasons baa...konchem south pure nativity tho vacchina movie and also aa time lo anti bollywood wave naduthundhi paiga ala vaikunta puram lo nation wide fame vacchindhi becoz of the songs ...dhaani tharuvaatha movie idhi..

Agree songs were a big factor. And the way allu looked rough and his shoulder issue through out movie, and dialogues.

Bollywood stopped catering to mass/rural audiences long back. Pushpa laanti common man character chusesariki northies baaga connect ayyaru and also south movies usually have a dose of everything right 

he’s a good actor with some limitations but PR is carrying him now
