we don't have control over what others do. So best is to upskill ourselves and do what's necessary to get a job ..

haha. People only tell good things, but never tell bad things they experienced while doing something. Imagine the stress of representing so many scrums and being confused, all the co-ordination, etc.

Another example ppl only boast of the great profits/trades they made. But they never talk about money lost.

I completely agree what you are saying.

But, there is no point cribbing or complaining or thinking about them taking away opportunities as we have no control over them. People do all sorts of things to make money. 

We can only do what's in our hands. Which is to upskill and be prepared to get a job if recession hits.

I think 2024 we will see a lot more of Onsite work. Remote will still exist full-time for smaller companies who are doing well saving real-estate rentals. 

Contacts will always matter in US. Esp. if you are in manager or higher role, its always contacts. Always stay in touch with your previous managers or colleagues and let them know you are open for new roles.

Vent post: I have no job since June, I am literally trying every opportunity available. Some idiots just do only screening and say sorry, some do 2 rounds of interview and say I have relocate, some idiots these so call contractors for the Sr role offering me $25/ hr and there are multiple implementation layers.
