M3 Max with 64GB midrange memory and 1TB storage should be enough for pro-use.

when we use it for 15+ years, it will still be very much usable at the end of 15 years and not crawling on its knees and elbows like a snail (you may have to replace the battery for once during this period). Low-range specs are good for now and for a few years but won't be usable at the end of their life time. Never get the least RAM.

After 11.5 years, my MacBook Pro 13" with 16GB RAM and 1TB HDD is still usable and can use it for another couple of years.

Currently on M2 Max 16" with 64GB RAM and 1TB storage from May 2023.

No, no, no - 4400 on the new M2 Max 16" purchased May 2023.

MacBook Pro 13" from 11 years cost me 1800 bucks with an employee discount of some 170 bucks
