quest Posted October 31, 2023 Report Posted October 31, 2023 in my opinion, if I live till 55 and still cannot secure my family's future, I consider myself as a loser in life.. with this opinion, I want to take life insurance only till 55 is my thinking so wrong? background: currently living in India, working as a contractor.. no benefits through company, want to take insurance Quote
Mana_istam Posted October 31, 2023 Report Posted October 31, 2023 Yes and no. What if you still have responsibilities at that age and didnt make much progress financially. It is a gamble. Term insurance is cheap when you are young. Go for the maximum you can and maximum term possible. Another strategy is to split up. 1 mil till 65 and 1 mil till 55 to save on premiums. One policy will continue past 55 and give you some cover. 1 hour ago, quest said: in my opinion, if I live till 55 and still cannot secure my family's future, I consider myself as a loser in life.. with this opinion, I want to take life insurance only till 55 is my thinking so wrong? background: currently living in India, working as a contractor.. no benefits through company, want to take insurance 1 Quote

Its not your age but your youngest kids approx college graduation year. Thats what insurance agents suggested here. After college, kids should be able to take care of themselves. AvramFaind Posted December 27, 2023 Report Posted December 27, 2023 Your thinking isn't wrong at all. Life insurance is all about making sure your loved ones are financially protected. If you believe that by the time you're 55, you'll have secured your family's future, then a term life insurance plan till that age can be a smart choice. It's a way to ensure support for your family during critical years. Just make sure the coverage amount is sufficient to cover their needs. Plus, getting life insurance in India is a responsible move, considering your contractor status. Quote

harsada Posted June 1, 2024 Report Posted June 1, 2024 Term life insurance provides coverage for a specified period, typically 10, 20, or 30 years, offering financial protection to beneficiaries if the insured passes away during the term. It's straightforward and generally more affordable than whole life insurance. Policyholders pay premiums for the chosen term, and if they die within that period, their beneficiaries receive a death benefit payout. Quote
Moris Posted August 21 Report Posted August 21 Managing healthcare plans can be overwhelming, especially when you’re comparing different providers. At one point, I needed more details and found myself searching for Sunshine Health phone number just to talk with someone directly. Having that point of contact made it easier to understand the benefits and coverage options, which otherwise can feel pretty confusing. Quote
