If Andhra was still part of Madras today

1. They would have had 64 MPs making it the state with the second highest MP seats in India, politically at the forefront.
2. Industrially, this MADRAS state would have been very much advanced, much ahead of Maharashtra.
3. The region between Chennai and Nellore would have been the automotive hub of Southeast Asia
4. The state would have 4 major ports and a dozen minor ports handling about 50% of India's cargo.
5. India's second-largest state by area.
6. India's highest per capita.
7. India's highest state GDP contributes to about 25% of India's economy industrially and agro-wise.
8. A thriving movie industry second to Bollywood or perhaps the leading entertainment industry of India.
9. Chennai could have been a thriving city of economic activity not just in India but the whole of Southeast Asia, Queen of the Bay of Bengal.
10. Chennai would have been India's second largest city by area, population, and economic activity, and the state would have had another 10 major cities and another dozen tier-2 cities.
11. 4 major ports, 10 minor ports, 100 fishing harbors, 3-4 international airports, 10 domestic airports.
12. India's most profitable rail corridor and extensive rail network would have been in this state. 3-4 major railway junctions, 10 major railway stations, and another 100 tier-2 railway stations.
13. India's longest expressway, the Coromandel Expressway from Kanyakumari to Ichapuram perhaps carries about 10% of India's freight, on par with Delhi-Mumbai corridors.
14. Manufacturing like electrical, automotive, electronic goods, textiles, fertilizers, petroleum products and refineries, etc and you just name it and Madras state would have been at the forefront of manufacturing activity.

Just to name a few...Most importantly well developed capital vuntunde.
